Designed (and built ) for a major government agency in the UK - the unit caters for the routing of 60 audio inputs channels to a set of 60 audio output channels. The switch is based on digital TST technology and is controlled via a host computer allowing total control of all switching functions.
The Client, a major motor car manufacturer, experienced problems during vehicle measurements within their EMC test chamber at high RF field strengths. The measurement equipment itself was being affected by the energy. We developed a Fibre optic measuremnt system comprising of a number of standard digital and analogue test heads, the signal was modulated onto an optical link and de-modulated outside the high radiation area where the measuremnt equipment could operate satisfactorily.
Designed as a reversing aid for motor vehicles, the product used ultrasonic ranging technology to determine the prescence of obstacles. The project, although technically straightforward had many commercial aspects, this lead to a very low cost design and much work went into a research of potential ultrasonic transducer suppliers.
Not all our work is on the edge of technology, indeed most of our clients require a cost effective solution using available technology to satisfy their production requirements, we have undertaken projects such as Electronic Sauna Control Panels and Seed Propogators where the primary aim is design to a cost.
We have undertaken countless projects involved in the design of PCB's from existing client 's schematics. Single sided, PTH and multi-layer can all be accomodated.
Much of our work uses SMD technology, experience gained from our manufacturing section enables us to convert conventional PCB's into cost effective SMD or mixed technology. An understanding of the SMD market enables us to create a problem free transition for your products.
