On Line Quotation

The following form enables you to obtain a quotation for the assembly of SMD or mixed technology PCB's. The form accounts only for assembly charges and assumes free issue PCB and components. Please e-mail or fax us for a quotation which involves component procurement

Disclaimer: This quotation form makes certain assumptions about the assembly process which may not comply with requirements of all clients. We have the right to alter prices issued in this quotation should the need arise.

Instructions

Fill in the boxes against all the parameters with black text, then hit the "Generate" button for an instant quote.

Boards Per Panel
Some assemblies are manufactured as a panel, i.e as a set of similar boards repeated on a single panel. The panel may either be scored or routed & pipped. Enter the number of repeated boards that are on a panel. If the board is not repeated, then you should enter 1 in this box. Any future refrence to boards indicate individual boards and reference to panels indicate the repeated structure.

Panel Width & Panel Length
Enter the smallest and longest dimension (in mm) respectively into these locations. If the board or panel has waste material along it's perimeter then enter the dimensions including the waste.

Boards Per Batch
Enter the amount of boards that you wish to have manufactured per batch.
i.e if you wanted 12,000 boards per annum in monthly batches then you would enter 1000 in this box.

Conventional Soldered Pads per Board
If the assembly is SMD only then enter 0 here, otherwise this relates to the number of conventional soldering operations on the boards. It relates to the sum of all the legs on conventional components.
i.e a board with 3 conventional resistors would have 6 Conventional Soldered Pads per Board
whilst a board with 3 conventional resistors and 4 conventional transistors would have 18 Conventional Soldered Pads per Board

Conventional Components per Board
If the assembly is SMD only then enter 0 here, other wise this relates to the number of conventional components on the board.

Different SMD Components per Board
In analysing the feeder requirements for the job, we need to know how many different types of SMD components are on the board
i.e a board with :
3 of 1K 0805 1% SMD resistors
1 of 10K 0805 1% SMD resistors
20 of 100K 0805 1% SMD resistors
Would have 3 Different SMD Components per Board (1K,10K,100K)

SMD Components per Board
The total number of SMD components per Board, in the above example the value would be 24.

Assembly type
Pick the assmbly type which covers your requirement

No SMD Components - Only Conventional
This relates to conventional boards with no SMD components

SMD Components Placed one side only
This relates to SMD or mixed technology (SMD and conventional) where the SMD components are all on one side of the board

SMD Components Placed one both sides of Board
This relates to SMD or mixed technology (SMD and conventional) where the SMD components are on both sides of the board

RESULTS

Solder Mask Charge
The cost of generating a solder paste stencil - a one off tooling cost.

Machine Programming Charge
Costs associated with the programming of the surface mount placement machinery - a one off tooling cost.

Setup Charge
Costs associated with the set-up of the surface mount placement machinery - payable each time a batch is manufactured..

Assembly Charge per Board
Self explanatory - cost per board
