SHIELD

Shield (Simple Highway Invisible Laser Detector) is a protection system for roadside workers which emits a harmless, invisible laser beam. When a vehicle enters the path of the laser, an alarm is triggered. Designed predominantly  to aid  people working on the hard shoulder of motorways, SHIELD is fitted on the rear of an emergency vehicle, facing back up the hard shoulder to provide continuous protection from the dangers of the work environment. Vital seconds warning is enough to mean the difference between life and death.
