Getting Your Gas Burner Repaired Is An Easy Process

I normally repair and despatch your mover the same day of receipt but allow 3-5 days turnaround for UK customers (longer for overseas)

We can repair, recondition and fit new new burner cages to your unit offering many more years of use. Please note: this is for the reconditioning of your own burner unit - not one supplied by us.

The test covers the following:

General condition of electronics & PCB (surface contaminants etc.)
General condition of mechanics (security of gas valve, burner cage etc.)
Correct flame burn conditions (visual)
Gas Valve Bypass leakage (tested @ 3Bar)
Gas flow rate during burn - jetting (tested at 30mBar)
Ignition circuit correct function
Flame detect circuit correct function
Correct Start-up procedure
Correct Shut-down procedure (absence of gas)
Correct low Voltage operation
Correct operation of Over-temperature thermostatic cut-out
New Fixing screws & gas seals supplied as required

Terms of Repair Service

Repairs will, in general, cover problems with the electronic PCB (Spark generation, Flame detect, gas valve drive circuit) which represent the majority of faults, it will not cover the following :

Faulty Gas Valve, Mechanically damaged circuit board or other mechanically broken items, additional charges maybe necessary in these circumstances. If the customer chooses not to proceed with any repairs, we will charge a testing fee of £22 and the return postage fee, any balances will be refunded to the customer. If the burner cage is excessively corroded or does not function to an acceptable standard, then we will make the customer aware of this fact but it remains the choice of the customer whether to accept the unit back with what we would consider to be a substandard component. The customer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the unit is fitted and operates within current gas safety guidelines and manufacturers specifications.

The p&p charge covers the postal return of your burner unit. We use Royal Mail First Class (non recorded) as a standard return postal service. This has a compensation limit of £46. If you require a more comprehensive return postal service to include a recorded service and insurance cover to a maximum of £150 then please contact me prior to purchase. If your item fails to be returned, we will provide proof of postage to you if required, but the process of compensation claim with the carrier and subsequent proof of value is the responsibility of the customer. Our repair charges will still stand in these cases. If required, Non UK customers should contact me before hitting "buy it now" to discuss premium international delivery options.
